Everyone going to our show later this week in Chicago, I hope you heeded my all-call to make fabric recipe postcards to benefit a local food bank (Greater Chicago Food Depository). These recipe postcards (which will go for $20 each, all proceeds going to the food bank) are very simple to make: quilt an image on the front, print a recipe on card stock on the back, and stitch together. Just drop off your fabric recipe postcard(s) at our postcard wall when you come to the show, and hopefully we will raise a lot of money!
Here is my initial post with my fabric recipe postcard instructions, here is a sample of a hilarious one by an attendee who mailed it to me in advance, and below is a fabric recipe postcard by Amanda Schlatre that she made this past weekend.
What a fun way for quilters to share their quilt skills and favorite recipes! Are you coming to the show and will you be dropping some off? I hope so!
